Celebrating the Eucharist
Connecting over the internet is good but connecting in person is much better. We all need community and, as Catholic Christians, we need a faith community within which we can celebrate Eucharist, work with others to build the Kingdom, and find friends.
Listed here are Catholic faith communities that have been recommended as welcoming to Gay/Lesbian people. (You may want to avoid going in drag -- at least for the first visit -- since some communities may not be as welcoming as others!) You and your sisters and brothers have recommended them.
With the exception of the Community of The Church of the Assumption in London’s West End, this list is primarily one of communities within the U.S.A.. That is not because we don’t want to include communities around the world -- it is only because we did not have access to a list of such welcoming communities outside of the U.S.A.. We leave it to you to TELL US.
Please let us know if you find that some places are not as friendly as we have led you to believe. We won’t know that unless you tell us. And if you know of a friendly, welcoming community anywhere in the world that is not listed here please share it with all of us as well.
