Welcome!

GayCatholicForum.org is intended for gay and lesbian Catholics who are proud of their gift of homosexuality and who want to share their faith with one another.

If this is your first visit to GayCatholicForum.org  please take a few minutes to read Terms of Use.  Then read About Us and First Things!  These include information you should have.

If this is not your first visit and you have completed the “First Things Course,” go right ahead and jump in wherever you’d like.

Remember two things:

(1)  God loves you ... so lighten up!

(2)  This website is your link to other people whose lives have been affected by God’s gift and who want to Journey with you.  They are truly your sisters and brothers.

Contribute

The material on this website was provided by people like you.  We encourage you to share your thoughts and we welcome your contributions.  Please send them to GCForum@Comcast.net.  We reserve the right to edit for clarity.

Feedback

It is unlikely that any other website is as welcoming of feedback from its intended visitors than this website (unless you send us three messages a day every day).  On virtually every page you will find a button that says “Contact Us.”  Please use it whenever you have something to say to us.  We also have a Survey that we hope you will complete.  Please let us know what we are doing well and what we need to do to improve the site.

Anonymity

There is no “out” as “out” on the Internet!  You must decide whether you want to be anonymous when submitting anything for this site.  You may prefer to use a screen name.  Your faith and your ideas are important to us; God knows who you are.  “Mary Lou, New York City” is fairly safe.  On the other hand, “Mary Lou, Big Snake Rock, West Virginia” may be more revealing than you would prefer.  However, it is nice to know in what part of the world you live.

Perhaps nowhere else need it be said:  While we travel with light hearts because we are proud and happy who we are, anonymity on this website should not be used to mislead.  If your friends call you “Mary Lou” but your baptismal certificate says “Robert,” please find a Forum name that tells us you are a man(Of course, you may have a medical certificate....) Similarly, a name such as “Butch” may be confusing to us unless you are writing about your twenty years in the convent.

If you write more than once it would be nice if you would use the same name consistently so that we get to know regular contributors.

Above all:  ENJOY!
