If we are going to live as Christians, we need to see the issues that affect us from a Christian perspective. We highly recommend the following publications and web sites to help you live your Christian vocation:
National Catholic Reporter
This is a weekly independent newspaper. What we like about it is that it is very progressive but not so political that it forgets what the church is all about. You’ll find lots of articles on social justice and, often, more information on national topics than you are likely to find in the national public press. Weekly.
COMMONWEAL
Another lay-published, independent magazine. “A review of religion, politics, and culture.” Insightful. Semimonthly
The Tablet
This independent weekly publication from London provides an international perspective on the church in British style.
The San Francisco Bay Catholic
Also lay-published and independent but found only on the internet, SFBayC looks at current church issues from both sides (or many sides), though it is, admittedly, progressive. Monthly with periodic updates.
